This gorgeous and impressive ring was made for a member of a powerful European family likely around the 1950s/60s. The piece features a rectangular blue/black banded agate engraved with an intaglio coat of arms set in a solid 18K gold frame. The sides of the ring have amazing beehive patterns. This ring would have been used both as a sign of pride and power with the practical use as a wax stamp seal. Very good vintage condition with no damage or repair to the gemstone. This one-of-a-kind ring is a size 10.25 and weighs an impressive 10.5 grams. The gemstone measures approx. 9/16" x 9/16". Stamped "750" (European for 18K) and carrying an unidentified makers mark.
