Description
A lot of two ancient Roman bronze door knockers in the form of lions heads. The lions heads have a stern muzzle, a wide mane and hold a door ring in the shape of a horses stirrup in their teeth. They have holes on the top for attaching to the door. Circa 510 BC to 476 AD. These door knockers were traditionally attached to the doors of a wealthy home or gate and were used to knock and also to pull the ring to open the door.
