A vintage French double sided lithograph on paper, Carnet de la Californie, after the original sketch, 1955. Executed as a sketchbook drawing during the middle 1950s and subsequently made available by Picasso for publication as a lithograph. Printed in Paris in 1959 by Mourlot Freres, and issued in a sketchbook style portfolio entitled Carnet de la Californie. The first: a portrait of a woman after the original painting, Jacquelin. Inscribed, VII, and dated, upper right. The second depicts a genre scene in the artists studio, inscribed and dated 55, lower right. Completed with a certificate of authenticity, Ala Moana Ediciones, dated November 1, 2004, stamped, and signed. Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and theatre designer who spent most of his adult life in France.
