George Edmund Butler(1872-1936) Un-titled painting depicting a canyon farm; original period frame. Signed. Piece measures approx. 22 3/4" h x 30 1/2" w x 3 1/4" d OA; approx. 13 3/4" x 21 1/4" SS. Painting and frame are well worn; painting has not been removed from frame for additional inspection.Born in England, Butler's family emigrated to New Zealand when he was a child. During the First World War, Butler was a war correspondent and an official artist and illustrator.
