**Originally Listed At $200**

Latin America / South America, Spanish Colonial Period, ca. 18th to early 19th century CE. A heavily used slipper stirrup in the shape of a leather boot, the tip pointed and slightly upturned and the strap loop decorated with scalloped shells. The Spanish introduced horses to the Americas, as well as the fancy tack that was meant to impress, while protecting the foot over rough terrain. Size: 7.75" L x 4" W x 4" H (19.7 cm x 10.2 cm x 10.2 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Moore collection, Denver, Colorado, USA, acquired prior to 1990
