William Sharp (Br. 1803-1875), large format chromolithograph plate from John Fisk Allen (Br. 1785-1865), "Victoria Regia, or The Great Waterlily of America" printed and published by Dutton & Wentworth, Boston, 1854. One of six plates by Sharp for Allen's work on the Victoria Regia (Victoria Amazonica). These bold, lavish plates are widely held to be the first chromolithographs produced in America. Frame size: 27 1/2" high, 33 7/8" wide; sight size: 14 3/4" high, 20 3/4" wide. Frame losses. Not examined out of frame.

All purchased items must be picked up by 3pm EST on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024. Any lots remaining after that date will be moved to storage and a $50 per lot transfer fee will be charged and storage fees will begin to accrue immediately. Appointments for pickups are required to be made at least 24 hours in advance. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. There is no assistance available for large or heavy items.
