Description
1 silk w/ chemical lace applique & insertions in graduated eagle & floral motif, square neckline, ¾ length sleeves, princess line into slight bell train, c. 1908, B 36”, W 26”, L 58”, (light discoloration, small light stains, wear/broken brides, tears up to 2” in hem, 3.5” seam opening CB below closures, few minor repairs b/t lace panels, chiffon bodice lining damaged) good; 1 ecru hand embroidered heavy padded floral embroidery on mm lace ground w/ square necked monobosom, 3/4 sleeves, asymmetrical draped skirt, c. 1907, B 40”, W 27”, L 56”, (light discoloration/wear, few holes & spot stains up to 1”, loose stitches around W, lining heavily shattered) fair-good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
