1 tawny cotton velveteen sleeveless evening dress w/ high front neckline to plunging V back, navy blue suede covered CF button closures & belt stamped “Max Hartman & Simon”, c. 1932, B 36”, W 28”, L 58”, belt 2” x 27”-30”, (small stains/wear spots, light crushing, discoloration at SH/armscye & hem, altered at SS, belt backing damaged); 1 dark blue silk velvet evening dress w/ triangular paste dress clips to modified halter neck w/ CB self-covered buttons into ruched racerback panel, c. 1935, label Fashion Originators Guild label, B 34”, W 26”, L 58”, (0.25” repair CF W, few light wear spots/crushing, minor discoloration hem, 0.5” seam opening CB W, 1 missing & 1 loose button, tarnish/color loss to clips) both good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
