1 pink silk velvet evening cape w/ silk tassel trim, shawl collar, velvet covered buttons & arm slits, c. 1918, SH-SH 17”, L 48”, (broad light discoloration, light wear to velvet, minor fraying to tassels, few tiny holes); 1 dark purple silk velvet evening cape w/ fringe & triple row of bias velvet trim, broad collar & shirred neckline, arm slits, lined w/ silk crepe, c. 1925, SH-SH 16”, L 41”, (slip N/I, some minor crushing to velvet esp. CF, few 0.25” wear spots at seams, fringe messy) both good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
