Offered here for your consideration is a sterling silver and azurite necklace by Carlos Diaz. This necklace features nine silver pendants each with an azurite cabochon resting in a smooth silver bezel. The necklace is finished off with elongated silver beads, and small round silver beads are placed between each pendant and the elongated beads. The sterling silver beads and pendants are strung on foxtail wire with silver findings at the end. This stunning necklace will make quite a statement when worn with your favorite outfit. MAKER: Hallmarked HANDMADE BY CARLOS DIAZ, ARIZONA (stamped). Carlos Diaz was born in Bogota, Columbia. He began an apprenticeship with his uncle at age 14, and by age 23 was working in Ecuador, making chalices for the Catholic Church, and hollowware for the Embassy. He began doing piecework for local jewelers in Tucson, Arizona in 1953.
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between the 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: This necklace measures approximately 15 7/8 inches from end to end, and the center pendant measures 1 1/8 inches across (at the widest point) x 1 1/4 inches from top to bottom. The total weight for this item is 85.8 grams.
