Description

Offered here for your consideration is a C.P. Shipley highback saddle. Shipley founded the Charles P. Shipley Saddlery and Mercantile Company of Kansas City in 1885. The company went out of business in 1972 but in the interim they were a well regarded and successful saddle maker. This highback saddle has seen much use but it would make a great addition to your collection so bid on it now!
Provenance: From the estate of Mike Jensen. A long time collector and member of NBSSCA.
MAKER: Charles P. Shipley Saddlery and Mercantile Company of Kansas City.
APPROX AGE: Antique (meaning prior to the 1930s).
SIZE: The saddle has a 15 inch seat and seems to fit an average size horse.
CONDITION: Fair for its age, wear and imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
HANDLING: There will be a $30 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot.
SHIPPING: The actual cost of postage will be added on top of the handling charges.
