Howie Michels (American, 20th century). Woodblock Artist's Proof, 1997. Signed "Howie Michels" in black ink on lower right. "Artist's Proof" handwritten in black ink on the lower left. Initialed "H.M." and dated "97" in the plate. A striking artist's proof by American artist Howie Michels, presenting a powerful rendering of a cow skull depicted in profile below a juicy apple dangling from a leafy branch, this composition complemented by a bold striated background, and all delineated in black and white. A fabulous signed woodblock engraving - an artist's proof by Howie Michels, set in a custom frame and ready to display. Size of image: 11.875" L x 11.75" W (30.2 cm x 29.8 cm) Size of frame: 22.2" L x 22" W (56.4 cm x 55.9 cm)
