**Originally Listed At $400**

Western Europe, Post Medieval period, ca. 15th to 16th century CE. A cast bronze vessel with a arching handle and small spiral thumb rest. There may have been an attached foot as evidenced by the remains of a rivet on the slightly rounded base. This may have been a drinking cup or pitcher used by the upper and wealthier classes for everyday use. Size: 4.5" Diameter x 6.5" H (11.4 cm x 16.5 cm)

Provenance: private San Francisco, California, USA collection, acquired 1970s to 2000s

Loss to rim as shown. Stable fissure and old welded repair radiating from rim to body. Dark toning throughout and areas of green patina. Surface wear from use, age, and exposure.
