Pair of Framed Needleworks, c. 1840's, one needlework depicting a female figure seated in a swing, the other a male figure fishing in a creek, with eglomise surrounds, initialed 'E.E.M.' in eglomise surrounds and wood frames. Frame size: 18 3/8 in. x 18 3/8 in.Measurements: Height: by sight of needlework, 8 1/2 in. x Width: 8 5/8 in.
Condition
Overall fair condition, both with toning and foxing to silk, the female with horizontal tear across background and face, other small tears along edges, small losses, male figure with multiple tears and stains, losses to eglomise, bug damage, surface dirt under glass of both, light wear to frames.
