Vintage lithographed tin wind-up “Little Orphan Annie” and “Sandy” toy, manufactured by Louis Marx & Company, ca. 1930s. The toy is based on the comic strip which debuted in 1924. Annie is depicted with her signature hair and dress carrying a jump rope alongside the rescued pup Sandy who carries her schoolbag. When wound up Annie jumps and tumbles while Sandy hops beside her. The "Little Orphan Annie" toy with the original box.

Condition
Only light discoloration and wear to the toys. Both run when wound. The Annie toy does not move forward, but the arms move. The dog moves but is unsteady and seems to fall over easily. There is only one key between the two toys, but the key works with both toys. Heavy wear to the original box.
