Broughton Island, Nunavut. 1971. Sealskin, softwood, fabric. Carefully detailed model of an Inuit man with paddle in a sealskin covered Kayak. The clothing is made of sealskin, and the face is painted fabric. Made by Simon Idloot as a commission in 1971, later sold to the current consignor. 10" x 41" x 19.5". From the Collection of Steve Blevins and Sonja Morawetz.
