A Swedish Rococo bronze mounted inlaid mixed wood serpentine commode
second half 18th century
height 33 1/2in (85cm); width 50 1/2in (128.5cm); depth 25 1/2in (65cm)

Condition

Structurally sound. Marble top probably original. Marble with marks, scratches, rubbing, inherent flaws. scattered fleabites and losses. General marks, nicks, scratches, cracks, lifting, losses and repair to veneer. Areas of infill and patched repair. Hardware probably original. Empty drawers slid relatively smoothly. Rubbed and toned. Visible old woodworm and infilled woodworm. Shrinkage to sides.
