Description
ASSORTED MASON'S PATENT MIDGET FRUIT JARS, LOT OF SIX, aqua pints, each with Nov 30th 1858 patent date, comprising five with HFJCo. / Hero Cross embossed at reverse, and one without is instead embossed "MASON'S / 2 / PATENT" at front, five of the six with appropriate midget zinc lids and inserts, four of the five lids being lugged, each jar with factory-ground rim. Fourth quarter 19th century. 5 3/4" HOA.

Collection of the late Al and Billy Steidel, Alexandria, VA.
Condition
Jars each generally very good or excellent condition with typical roughness or flaking at rims, a couple with a chip; two milk glass inserts cracked; two zinc lids each with a moderate age crack/separation.
