Description
WHITALL TATUM MUSEUM / SPECIMEN APOTHECARY JARS, LOT OF TWO, colorless glass with metal clamps, giant cylindrical forms with squared collar and matching lid embossed "WHITALL, TATUM CO. / PHILADELPHIA - NEW YORK / PAT. JUNE 11TH 1895", each having contents and old paper labels/tags suggesting the smaller contains a sample of llama fleece from Peru and the larger has "Calmuc" fleece from Russia, apparently a type of fluffy miniature horse. Each jar with rough pontil scar to underside. Circa 1895. 14 1/2" H smaller, 17 3/4" HOA.

Condition
Excellent condition with some bruising, chipping, and heavy wear to the lids.
