GRENFELL FOLK ART DOG SLED PICTORIAL HOOKED RUG / LARGE-SIZE MAT, wool and other materials, rectangular form, depicting a dog sled rescue scene in a snowy landscape, featuring five dogs pulling a sled with a driver and a medical box, another figure runs alongside the team, background with fir trees in the distance, encompassed by a dark frame border, back with later applied burlap covering. No label located. Grenfell Mission, Northern Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Circa 1920. 36 1/2" x 23".

Condition
Good overall condition with minor wear, moderate overall toning and fading, scattered stains, a few pulled pieces of fabric, a small hole at the back foot of the running figure, back in unknown condition.
