Description
WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA STENCILED STONEWARE CANNER, salt-glazed, approximately half-gallon capacity, slight conical form with grooved wax-seal rim and Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt floral decoration to front, additional brushed cobalt stripe above base and two stripes below rim. Circa 1875. 8" H, 4 1/2" D rim.

Condition
Excellent, undamaged condition. Manufacturing flaws including glazed over rim chip, as made.
