Description
Victorian Cast Iron Skirt Marker Stand, Pedestal. Originally used by a seamstress to measure a hem length, this metal pedestal has a concentric ridged center and knob on side connected to the platform with figural human shaped legs. Wood base is marked underneath as Butterfield Manufacturing Co., Fostoria, patented in '08 (1908).
Dimensions are 8.25 in h x 19.5 in w x 19.5 in d. Condition is good with discoloration and heavy oxidation throughout, side knob appears to be too heavily rusted to turn. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
