RIFLE. Cal. 7.62x54 R. S# 9130335177. Bbl. 28 3/4". Barrel is marked over chamber with "hammer and sickle in wreath", indicating Izhevsk Arsenal manufactured. Original S# 5273 also matches bolt, floorplate and buttplate. Additional markings included "arrow in triangle". Import marked on receiver ring. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. Post front sight with protective hood. Straight bolt handle. Cleaning rod is present. Hardwood stock set has replaced toe. Green web sling with leather collars. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 17" quadrangular socket blade bayonet marked only with S#. Bayonet retains most of its arsenal rework finish with scattered handling marks. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework type finish over wear, staining and handling marks. Approximately 3/4" crack behind receiver tang. Metal retains approximately 80% arsenal rework finish with light wear. Good bore with lightly worn lands and frosted appearance in grooves. (23-5993/RW). CURIO. $100-300.
