The painting appears to be in good condition with a 1 1/8" x 1/2" chip loss above the figures head and a 1 1/4" thin line of paint loss to the right of the figure and above the mountain, as wellas a 3/8" x 1/8" chip loss in the upper right corner. The painting has been examined under blacklight and does not show indication of inpainting, but does highlight the above listed chip losses. The frame appears to be in good condition with miter splits at all four corners.
