Other Notes: Note: George Dean, a tinsmith and folk artist from Terre Haute Indiana, created this Tin Man as a sign for his Tinsmith Shop. Dean began as an aviation metalsmith during World War II. After the war, he enrolled at Indiana State University and in 1956, opened his own shop. When Dean's shop closed in 1985, Elli Buk purchased the ten foot tall sign.
