Estate / Collection: The Manolovici Collection

In two parts, the upper section with broken pediment above an arched mirrored door flanked by pilasters and opening to shelves and a mirrored prospect door flanked by document slots above drawers, the fall front opening to a prospect door, document slots, pigeonholes and small drawers, with four graduated drawers, on claw-and-ball feet.

Height 79 12 in (201.9 cm), width 28 in (71.1 cm), depth 21 in (53.3 cm)

Notes:

The model of the present lot is after a bureau cabinet formerly in the Percival Griffiths Collection and the Judge Irwin Untermyer Collection, the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was sold, Christie's, New York, April 28, 2017, lot 27, and is now in the Bryan Collection, Crab Tree Farm, Lake Bluff, Illinois.

Overall good condition, age cracks to veneers of slant front along line of construction underneath, sun fading, old marks and scratches, scuffs to feet, age cracks to bottom section.
