About the time that the Statue of Liberty was being dedicated in New York, beautiful ladies were sashaying around in these stunning bonnets. 1) One of the most magnificent hats from this time period we have ever seen. Rows and rows of black horsehair ripple completely cover this fine bonnet. Black silk rosettes trim the back. Silk drawstring lining. Huge stand up ostrich feathers adorn one side with delicate white lilacs. This bonnet is in amazing shape for being 128 years old.. 2) Copper cp;or rough straw bonnet with no brim, head fitting, flowers and a feather. Unusual loops of tubular copper straw decorate this statement bonnet. VGC 3) Great color purple/burgundy silk bonnet with face framing matching ostrich feather that trails into your up do. Satin ribbon bow on right side with matching ties. Excellent condition.
