Workmaster Henrik Wigström, St. Petersburg, 1903-1904, scratched inventory number 16993

Of etui form, enameled in translucent pink over a wavy engine-turned ground, both sides painted in sepia with ribbon-tied leafy branches, the front centering a basket suspended from a tied ribbon, the hinged cover with a rose-cut diamond-set border between two laurel-chased gold bands, with a diamond-set push-piece. Height 3 5/8 inches, (9.2 cm).Provenance:
Sotheby's, London, May 19, 2005, lot 227.
Condition
Gold is 72 standard. With Soviet control mark and later dealer’s scratched inventory numbers.
