Description
Chinese blue silk 'Three Plenties' robe, circa 1900, having a butterfly and peony collar, centering a dragon roundel, the sleeves stitched with the 'Three Plenties,' peach, citron, and pomegranate, the rest of the body covered in auspicious flowers including peony and lily, as well as butterflies, all on a cobalt silk jacquard, the interior lined in pale aqua jacquard. sold previously at I.M. Chait Gallery, March 6, 2014, lot 272.
