Description

Offered here for your consideration are a complete set of six Stetson advertising posters. In this group you'll find a handsome bunch of Western movie stars spanning many decades all wearing their Stetson hats. From Steve McQueen to Tom Mix, these posters from the 1990s are part of a long tradition of Stetson advertising. Framed and ready to become part of your collection. According to Bill Reynolds, "My advertising agency, Banning BCI, created the Stetson posters with the deceased western stars for then, Hat Brands, Inc., that owned the Stetson license. The company wanted to reaffirm the history Stetson had with the west beyond it’s iconic “Last Drop” painted by artist Lon Megargee. The six chosen stars were felt to cross all the eras and heirs and estates were contacted to gain usage permission. Approx. 200 sets were produced in conjunction with the superb Los Angeles poster printer, Javier Munoz in 1995." They are highly collectable and only a few complete sets are known to exist.
