Description

Lotus Jug c.1880, 6 1/2", of squared pear shape with angular handle, molded on each side with a large pink lotus blossom, bud and leaf, on a textured grey-brown arched panel, the joins with large buds issuing stiff palm tips, the neck with a band of flowerheads, beneath a beaded rim. Design registry for 2 July 1877.
