France, a 19th century lyre form mystery clock, the ebonized wooden case with gilt, foliate mounts, the arms flanking faux strings and surmounted by addorsed swans and central basket of fruit, roman numeral silvered dial with blued steel hands, 8 day, two train pendule de Paris movement with fancy cast pendulum, oscillating above the dial, behind the lyre strings
Condition
ebonised wood case with gilt mountings in good condition, one of the cast flowers at the upper left missing, original silvered dial is tarnished, numerals worn away, end of the minute hand is broken off, pendulum may be a period replacement, ticking but strike will need adjustment, ACCESSORIES: Pendulum, Winding Key, Paperwork, circa second quarter 19th c
