Description
France, a very nice hour repeating carriage clock with enamel arabic time and subsidiary alarm chapter ring dials set in a matte gilt mask, blued steel hands, the Anglaise case with stepped base, the corners with fluted columns having Corinthian capitals, and supporting a molded top with turned carrying handle and thick beveled glass on all sides, eight day, three train movement with lever platform, sounding grand sonnerie quarters on two gongs, striking the hours on one gong, and repeating the last hour on demand
Condition
brass case has lost its gilding with patina and minor tarnish and spotting, decorative turned knob missing on right side of handle, glasses good, minute hand poorly repaired, alarm hand detached but included, movement running, striking, and repeating correctly, platform replaced, ACCESSORIES: Winding Key, Alarm Hand, circa 1900
