Description
If was an American science fiction magazine launched in March 1952 by Quinn Publications, owned by James L. Quinn. The magazine was moderately successful, though for most of its run, it was not considered to be in the first tier of American science fiction magazines. This lot contains four issues spanning the years 1954 to 1962.
IF Worlds of Science Fiction: March, Mar. 1954 Vol., 3, No. 1. Edited by James L. Quinn. Cover art by Ken Fagg depicting an "Archaeological expedition to Earth, 15000 AD." Includes "The Ambassador" (short novel) by Sam Merwin, Jr.; "When the Mountain Shook" by Robert Abernathy; "Act of Passion" by Raymond E. Banks; "Time Fuze" by Randall Garrett; "'Mid Pleasures and Palaces" by James McKimmey, Jr.; "Tabby" by Winston Marks; "The Worlds of Joe Shannon" by Frank M. Robinson; "Tape Jockey" by Tom Leahy; "Uniform of a Man" by Dave Dryfoos. Illustrated by Kelly Freas, Paul Orban, Philip Parsons, Rudolph Palais. This issue is in very good condition with spine creasing.
