Description

carved from a single log this chief's chair from Burkina Faso in West Africa is one of the more ornate versions known. A carved goat head sits atop two serpentine snakes that wind their way down the sides to the step down footrest. Over sixty Portugese coins that are nailed on as decorative ornaments date from 1938 to 1946 and date the chair as authentic tribal art and not new.
