Five items, late 19th / early 20th century: 1. Pedestal oval bowl having a ruby glass insert, with bead and oval decoration to upper rim over a cutwork border of scrolls and tassels, rams' heads figural mounts to rim and on double handles, pedestal base having a decorative lobed band and a bead and oval rim, marked No. 1981, no maker's mark; 11 3/8" x 7 5/8", 4 1/2"H; glass insert with two small chips to outer edge of rim and minor flea bites to interior edge of rim---2. Olive jar having a cobalt glass insert, openwork frame with vertical panels of grapevine decoration, round base with gadrooned rim and shell form feet, silverplate lid, unmarked, 6 1/2"L spoon with grapevine pattern; 7 1/2"H, 3 3/8"W; good condition---3. Pair of oval open salts with cobalt glass inserts, frames with openwork grapevine decoration and four bracket feet each centering a shell, unmarked; 2 3/4" x 2 1/8", 2"H; one glass insert with cracks to bottom---4. Toothpick holder with grapevine decoration in relief, clear glass insert, base marked "Portugal"; 1 3/4"H---From the estate of Joseph Ewing, long-time antiques dealer in OH, NC, and SC, to benefit the Laurens County Museum Association and the Laurens County Humane Society, Laurens, SC.
