Description
A George III Mahogany Secretary Bookcase, Fourth Quarter 18th Century. The upper section with rectangular molded cornice above a pair of glazed molded doors enclosing a divided interior with adjustable shelves. The lower section with a hinged fall enclosing a fitted interior of small drawers and pigeon holes about a central prospect door, above four graduated long drawers, raised on bracket feet.

Provenance: Property from a New Jersey Collection.
Condition
The secretary and bookcase probably together by association. In three parts. Structurally sound. General marks, wear, scuffs, surface scratches and small losses throughout. Shrinkage and horizontal age cracks to the hinged fall and vertical age cracks at lower sides of secretary. There are several pieces of vertical molding lifting to the front right of secretary. No key.
