Description
A Pennsylvania Federal Cherry Washstand, First Quarter 19th Century. The shaped backsplash over a single dovetailed drawer, turned legs joined by an under-tier. Together with a Federal Red Washed Softwood Washstand.
Dimensions: Height 36 1/2in; width 21in; depth 15in.

Condition
The cherry washstand is structurally sound. In an overall refinished condition. the pressed brass pulls are later replaced. General marks, wear and surface scratches, otherwise good condition. The softwood washstand is structurally sound; retaining an old red washed surface. There is a significant age crack/shrinkage to the right side of the top. Scattered marks, wear and liquid stains throughout, otherwise good condition.
