Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Holy Water Vessel, Yongle Mark - A porcelain "Holy Water" pouring vessel with a pear-shaped body resting upon a bulbous stemmed foot, flared rim with rolled lip. Blue underglaze decoration on a slightly bluish-white ground. The body set with a long thin spout and decorated with floral scrolls between bands of stylized flower heads; the stemmed foot with banded decoration. Four-character Yongle mark at neck of vessel beneath the rim. An aged paper collection label on underside of foot. 8 5/8" h. Condition: Minor normal wear, a stable kiln crack at top of stemmed foot, some usual bottomwear to foot rim.
