Description
Featured in this lot are three silver Liberty Peace Dollars circa 1922-1924. The Peace Dollar was created to symbolize the peace after the end of World War I. The coins show no mintage mark, indicating that they were minted in Philadelphia. The coins show Lady Liberty, modeled after Teresa de Francisci, wearing a radiating crown with the date below on one side, while the opposite side shows a Bald Eagle resting on an olive branch with the word ?Peace? underneath. The coins vary in terms of wear, as the 1922 coin shows a bright luster compared to the two 1924 coins showing little to no luster and more wear. Only one coin is not in a case. The coins show good condition with no signs of obvious damage. The coins measure 1 1/2 in diameter. The collective weight of all three coins is 80 grams.
