Featured in this lot is this Egyptian Isis leading Nefertiti papyrus artwork. The artwork features a wonderfully and professionally crafted papyrus and naturally dyed ink construction of the original artwork found in Nefertiti's tomb that was discovered in 1904. Nefertiti means "The Most Beautiful," in the image Isis is leading Nefertiti to the afterlife with a black background. After the death of Isis' husband Osiris, she took over as the goddess of the dead and the funeral rites. The condition of this framed Papyrus artwork is good with some weal to the frame but otherwise is well preserved and in good overall condition. The measurements of this framed artwork is 34 1/4" x 27 1/4" and the visible artwork measures 30" x 22 3/4".
