EXTENSIVELY CARVED CHINESE MARBLE TOP ETAGERE: An exceptional Chinese carved, ebonized etagere display cabinet with inset marble writing surface. Crowned by an ornately pierced figural crest above six open shelves framed in berry motif trim surrounding a central beveled glass door. Includes two dovetail drawers above the marble surface which rests above an abundantly carved apron depicting two figures flanked by a foliate and berry motif. This lower portion houses two cabinet doors, one at each side that open to two tiers of wood shelving and flank additional open shelving backset upon a lower stretcher shelf. The bold cabriole legs decorated with scrolled foliate carvings in relief lead to scrolled terminals. With brass hardware including a lock and key at the upper mirrored cabinet. Approx. 93.5” h x 46” w x 30” d.

Gentle wear commensurate with age and use. Old crack in marble. Overall in excellent condition; sturdy.
