Lot of (8) Pieces of Designer Brutalist and Boho Chic Statement Jewelry - Including Pal Kepenyes, Luisa Conti & Apianna, Sterling and Gold
For your consideration is a fantastic lot of vintage designer brutalist and boho chic jewelry from the 1970's and 1980's. Included in the auction are:
1. Pair of Drop/Dangle Earrings by Pal Kepenyes. Screwback earrings are designed as brass drop with caged turquoise fragment. Marked on reverse "Pal Kepenyes Mexico". Measure 2 3/8" in length and are 9/16" at widest point. Items are in excellent condition with expected patina, functional closures, no damage, breaks, bends or repairs noted.
2. Natural Clear Quartz Crystal Pendant with Gold-Dipped Back. Item is in excellent condition with no damage, breaks or repairs noted. Measures 1 5/8"(l) x 3/4"(w) x 1/2"(d) and no markings noted.
3. Sterling Silver and 87.3% Gold Rectangular Brutalist Brooch Signed Apianna. Brooch measures 2 3/8"(w) x 1 1/2"(h). And be worn several ways and is marked "Apianna 87.3 925". Item is in excellent condition with appropriate patina, no damage, breaks, bends, missing pieces or repair noted.
4. Torsade Necklace Signed by Luisa Conti. This gorgeous tornado necklace has an oversized, multi- brass bead center that is inlaid with white glass cabochons. The twisted strands of beads are made up of small cylindrical grass beads which terminate with quality decorative caps. The closure is a screw type closure that is easy to handle and secure. All brass beads are marked "Luisa Conti". Total length of the necklace is 24" and the circumference of the centermost/largest brass bead is 1 3/4". Item is in excellent working condition with appropriate patina and light wear noted to brass components commensurate with responsible use. No damage, breaks, missing pieces/stones or repairs noted.
5. Brutalist Belt Buckle with Black Chatoyant Stone. Buckle measures 2 1/2"(l) x 2"(w) and not markings are noted. Black chatoyant stone (possibly black cat's eye or hypersthene) is diamond-shaped and measures 1 1/2"(l) x 7/8"(w). Item is in excellent condition with no noted damage, heavy wear or repair.
6. Vintage Brutalist Leaf-Shaped Pendant Necklace with Large Amethyst Crystal. Pendant measures 2 5/8"(l) x 1 7/8"(w) with crystal measuring 1 1/2"(l) x 3/4"(w). Chain measures 18" in total length and no markings are noted. All pieces are in excellent condition with no damage, heavy wear or repair are noted. Warm patina is commensurate with age and appropriate use.
7. Freeform Twisted Bronze Ribbon Cuff Bracelet. No markings noted with interior measurements of 2 1/4"(w) x 1 7/8"(d). The bracelet is pliable so it can be opened and closed to secure and remove. Rich warm patina commensurate with age and no damage or repair noted.
8. Brutalist Necklace with Medallion Inlaid with Blue Stone Cabochon. Necklace measures 22" in total length with interesting U-shaped links accented by medallion measuring 2 1/2"(l) x 2"(w). Patina consistent with age and no noted damage or repair. No markings noted.
