Falconry.- Huber (Jean) Observations sur le vol des oiseaux de proie, first edition, woodcut device on title, 7 double-page engraved plates, occasional light scattered foxing, but very good, wide-margined copy generally, bookplate of Sir William Stirling-Maxwell to front pastedown, 19th century morocco-backed cloth with arms and monogramme of Stirling-Maxwell to covers, spine ends a little rubbed, t.e.g., [Nissen IVB 458; Schwerdt I, p.253], 4to, Geneva, Paul Barde, 1784.*** "A scarce and instructive treatise on flight of falcons and hawks. The book is evidently the outcome of a great deal of observation and study" - Schwerdt.
