Additional Information: 1950 PHOTOGRAPH-ALBUM. EXTENSIVE PHOTO-TRAVELOGUE, post-WW2 -- Skillfully hand-colored/tinted photographs of magnificent topographical scenes in the UK's southmost region of Cornwall & Devon, street scenes by Canterbury Cathedral and lake areas in Wales.
(158) b&w PHOTOGRAPHS - almost all are hand-colored/tinted, done with expertise.
Photographs are mostly 3"x5", a few are 6"x9"-- photos are glue-mounted to heavy-stock paper, with onion-skin between, in a vintage blue leather album. In excellent condition, folio-sized, 10"x12". There are a handful of postcards (Cox's Cave, Somerset) and 12 mini-snapshots bought at Canterbury Cathedral.
The sequence of photos 'move along' quite nicely -- a benefit of maker's well described, hand-written annotations. Photos are of high quality, finely developed, and show depth, clarity and copious details.
