Description
A five piece art pottery figural group produced circa late 20th Century by Soviet Russian born American artist Gala Sorkina (also Galina Iosifovna Sorkina) (20C). Titled, "After the Tea Party: Games with Cups." A hand painted Postmodern work modeled as teacups surmounted by whimsical figures. Includes a male figure modeled after Michelangelo's David, with two female figures seated in half teacups, and two hand decorated bread and butter plates. All pieces artist signed GALA SORKINA and dated. David figure measures approximately 12.5" x 4.5" x 4". Plates measure approximately .5" x 7.25" x 7.25".
