A framed limited edition hand-painted cel titled "Wishing For Romance" from Walt Disney's animated feature Beauty and the Beast (1991). This cel was released by Disney Art Editions in 1994 and shows Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip and Fifi the Feather Duster gathered at the library door. Disney artists used a xerographic process to transfer the original animation drawings onto acetate cels. The cels were enhanced with ink for the line detailing, and the colours were hand-painted using Disney-approved acrylic colours. The printed background was also recreated from the original, now preserved within the Disney Animation Research Library. This example was one of 500 editions created, with this example being numbered "2/500" and bearing a Walt Disney Company seal in the lower right corner. It comes mounted within an original Disney frame with plexiglass and features a hanging wire on the reverse.
