Two Different Early Armspear Lanterns-Lehigh Valley RR/Long Island RR

Item Details

Description

This is a lot of two different early Armspear switchmans lanterns with patent dates of 1886 and 1889. The first is from the Lehigh Valley Railroad, and is cast with L.V.R.R. on the rim. Has a plain clear globe, with correct burner and twist off fount. The second lantern is from the Long island Railroad, and is cast with L.I.R.R. on its rim. This lantern needs a globe, fount, and burner, but is a rare, hard to find piece from this railroad. Bail was wrapped to hold two broken ends together at one point.
