This is a pair of lanterns made by the Hiram L. Piper Company. The first is for the Canadian Pacific Railroad. It is cast with CPR on the rim. CPR is also etched into the clear Kopp circled K globe. Correct burner and fount. There is an original wooden handle on the bail. Manufacturers date of 4/1951 on the bottom. The second lantern is from the Canadian National Railroaad, and is cast CNR on the rim. CNR is also etched on the clear Kopp circled K globe. Correct burner and fount. Small drain hole in the bottom of the lantern fount holder. Manufacturers date on the bottom of 2/1958.
