This lot contains six metal cans. The first is a three gallon oil can from the Burlington Route (Chicago Bulrington and Quincy) Railroad. It has its original spout and is cast with BURLINGTON ROUTE on the top. The second can is from the Denver and Rio Grande Western and is also a three gallon oil can. Made by Eagle Manufacturing, it has the standard welded eagle style tag that reads D. & R.G.W. on the side. It has its original screw top, chain, and wood handle on the bail. The third can is a two gallon water can from the Chicago Burlington and Quincy, and is cast with CB&Q on the hinged lid. Made by Handlan of St. Louis, it also has its original wood handle on the bail. Can four is a two gallon water can which is cast with WABASH RY on the side. It has its hinged top and a wood handle on the bail. Made by Handlan of St. Louis. There are also two long stem oil cans. One is made by the Railroad Tinware Company in Brookville, IN, and is not associated with a specific railroad. The other is from the Rock Island, and is stamped CRI&P RY on the bottom. It has its filler cap, and the pump seems to work.
